Edwina Budzik, was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, godmother, friend and recent college graduate. My mother loved to travel, play bingo and visit the casinos. Holidays and family gatherings were always special with mom and she put her heart into all the preparations. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Christmas was extra special where she loved to spoil all the kids. My mother was the most loving and caring mother anyone could ask for. She would give so much of herself anytime someone needed help. Mom(Ed) as she was so lovingly referred to by my dad, is missed dearly by all of us who had the pleasure of her love, kindness, generosity, understanding, and facial expressions. She lost a 7 month battle of lung cancer on October 1, 2001. My mother and I always had a saying, "Keep the Faith and Fight the Fight" and that is exaclty what she lived by. She kept her faith and fought till the end. We know that mom is in the loving arms of God now and isn't suffering anymore. One day we will all be reunited forever.

On Eagles Wings

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down; it is how we handle them. The Bible says, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31
